Official NCPC House Rules

The following house rules and summaries are provided to clearly define how the event is run. If a situation is not explicitly covered below, TDA rules apply. In all cases, the Tournament Director’s decision is final.
Authority & Application of Rules
1.1 These events follow current TDA Rules in conjunction with these house rules.
1.2 Dealers manage routine play and enforcement at the table.
1.3 Any dispute or unclear situation will be referred to the Tournament Director (TD).
1.4 All TD decisions are final and binding.
Player Responsibilities
2.1 Players are responsible for knowing and following all rules.
2.2 Players must:

Protect their hand at all times

Act only when it is their turn
-
Clearly announce actions (check, bet, call, raise, fold, all-in)
-
Keep chips visible and neatly stacked
-
Remain at the table with a live hand
2.3 Repeated failure to meet these responsibilities may result in penalties.
Acting in Turn
3.1 Players must act in turn. Action taken out of turn may be binding.
3.2 Repeated action out of turn will result in penalties.
3.3 Players are responsible for paying attention to the action.
Betting & Chip Rules
4.1 One-Chip Rule

A single oversized chip placed into the pot without a verbal declaration of raise is a call.
4.2 Clear Betting

Verbal declarations are binding.
-
String bets and unclear betting motions are not allowed.
4.3 Chip Visibility
-
Chips must remain visible at all times.
No Chip Transfers
5.1 Players may not give chips to another player for any reason.
5.2 Players leaving the event must surrender remaining chips to the dealer.
5.3 Chip dumping or soft play will result in disqualification.
Showdowns & All-Ins
6.1 Cards Speak
-
The cards determine the winning hand, not verbal declarations.
6.2 All-In Rule
-
When a player is all-in and all betting action is complete, all hands must be turned face-up immediately, including hands involved in side pots.
6.3 Protect Your Hand
-
A player is responsible for protecting their cards.

A hand killed or fouled due to lack of protection has no claim to the pot.
Show One, Show All
7.1 Players may not expose their cards to other players while action is pending.
7.2 If a player shows their cards to one player, the dealer may require the hand to be shown to all players.
Electronic Devices
8.1 Poker apps, charts, or outside assistance are prohibited.
8.2 Devices must not delay or disrupt play.
Etiquette & Conduct
9.1 Players must treat others with respect at all times.
9.2 The following will not be tolerated:

Verbal abuse, harassment, or threats

Physical intimidation or violence

Discriminatory or offensive language
-
Collusion, chip dumping, or soft play
9.3 Violations may result in penalties, ejection, and possible legal action.
Penalties
10.1 Penalties may include:

Verbal warnings
-
Missed hands or rounds
-
Removal of chips from play
-
Disqualification
10.2 Penalties escalate for repeat or severe infractions.
Assistance for New Players
11.1 New and inexperienced players are welcome.
11.2 Players may ask the dealer for help with:

Game flow
-
Betting order
-
Table procedures
11.3 Repeated delays after instruction may result in penalties.
Spirit of the Event
12.1 This is a charity poker event intended to be competitive, fair, and enjoyable.
12.2 Play hard, respect others, and enjoy the fellowship.
